2009 Innsbrook Institute
Concerto Competition

Rules and guidelines for the 2009 Innsbrook Institute Concerto Competition. 
 

1)  All students attending the Innsbrook Institute in 2009 are eligible to enter the Concerto Competition. 

2)  For the competition, a concerto is defined as a piece accompanied by a chamber orchestra.

3)  All concerti must be approved by Vera Parkin, Director of Student Life, before entered for submission.  Approval must be made due to instrumentation concerns. String orchestra accompaniment is acceptable, possibly with winds. Please please e-mail Vera Parkin to receive approval.

4) Please submit only one movement for the competition; winners will play only one movement.

5) Please submit an audition video/DVD of your concerto submission by May 19, 2009.

6) Up to 3 finalists will be announced via e-mail on or before May 26, 2009.

7) The final round will occur Friday June 5, 2009 after the 8 p.m. concert. Innsbrook students, faculty, host parents, and student's families are welcome to observe. The winner will be chosen by David Halen and other faculty members. 

8) The winner of the competition will perform with a chamber orchestra on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at the 8 p.m. concert.
