• Pictures and Stories
Featuring Andrés Díaz, Chee-Yun

All music suggests images and narratives, but some has a more direct association. "Of Fables, Foibles and Fancies" combines witty and amusing texts with complimentary music for the cello (but who will be the narrator?). Concluding with a pianist feat of epic proportions, Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. 7:30 p.m. at Conference Center. $20-25, kids 17 & under FREE*.
Thursday, June 17, 7:30 p.m.

Like choicest fabric of spun gold, folds of deep velvet and streaming satin, the deeply felt Fauré Sonata for Violin & Piano No. 1 in A Major, Op. 13 is performed by Chee-Yun and Grace Fong (unofficially dubbed the Velocity Sisters after last summers' stunning collaborations). Philadelphia Orchestra Principal Clarinetist Ricardo Morales is joined on stage by wife Amy Oshiro-Morales and Innsbrook string artists for Brahms’ Clarinet Quintet in B minor, Op. 155. 7:30 p.m. at Conference Center. $20-25, kids 17 & under FREE*.
Friday, June 18, 8 p.m.
• Beauty and Brilliance
Featuring (Ricardo Morales), Grace Fong
and Innsbrook All-Stars
Some pieces move from the sublimely beautiful to the dazzlingly brilliant all in one fell swoop. The Sonata for Clarinet & Piano by Leonard Bernstein begins gracefully and concludes theatrically. Kodaly's Serenade travels from deep forests to bright sunscapes, and the Schumann Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, Op. 44 moves us from one shining triumph to another. 8 p.m. at Conference Center. $25-30, kids 17 & under FREE*.
