2010 Mentored Residency Program
9-Day Program

$50 Application Fee (nonrefundable)

Arrive on Friday, June 11; depart on Sunday, June 20

The Mentored Residency Program admission is open to violin, viola, cello, bass and piano emerging professionals over the age of 21. The program was created to bridge the gap between study and professional life for students who demonstrate exceptional potential for success in the music performance world. Accepted mentored residents will be mentored by and perform alongside Institute festival artists, interact in the administration and execution of the festival and academy, and engage in an intensive level of study as both soloists and ensemble artists. Mentored residents will take private lessons, rehearse and perform together and alongside professionals in evening festival concerts, coach and mentor academy groups, and receive critical commentary from Institute faculty and staff, benefitting form the rich and varied life experiences of established professionals.

Travel Stipend
Mentored residents will receive up to $300 for travel stipend. This stipend will be issued on a reimbursement basis.

- Audition recording or video (Video/Audio CDs/ tapes must be of high quality, but need not be professionally produced) - SEE BELOW.

Note: Returning applicants are not guaranteed acceptance into the Mentored Residency Program.

Recorded Auditions
Recorded auditions should be at least 30 minutes in length and include three contrasting works/movements, as well as major and minor scales. It can include a concerto performance, solo recital or any combination/compilation.
